Dr Liza Kirtchuk

Clinical Lecturer in Medical Education

  • Stage 2 GP Lead (Longitudinal Placement)

Biography

I am a practising GP in West London and a Clinical Lecturer in Medical Education at Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medical Education, King’s College London. I work within Kings Undergraduate Medicine in the Community (KUMEC) where I run the longitudinal GP placement for our second year medical students. I have particular interests in exploring how we can best integrate learners within the clinical environment, particularly through longitudinal approaches to delivering placements. I am also interested in health inequalities and providing students with exposure to this through lectures, but also through clinical encounters and practice- based improvement projects. My research interests include longitudinal placements, student professional identity formation, communities of practice, and near-peer teaching.
