Lorenda Hanieva is a PhD student in Public Services Management and Organisation at King’s Business School.
Her research, grounded in French pragmatism, challenges orthodox price theory by examining under-researched U.S. healthcare pricing practices. She explores how prices function as social conventions, shaped by multiple—and often competing—moral evaluations from different stakeholders. Additionally, her work investigates how healthcare organisations navigate this moral complexity: Do they prioritise people over profits, ethics over expedience, and service over self-interest?
Her research interests include French pragmatism, valuation, uncertainty, price formation, and healthcare.
