Biography

Lorna Jarrett is a PhD candidate in the Safe & Trusted AI Centre for Doctoral Training at King’s College London. Her research, conducted in collaboration with Arm Ltd through an ESRC LISS DTP CASE studentship, explores how hybrid agentic AI systems can enhance workforce analytics and career modelling in the semiconductor sector.

Her project integrates machine learning, multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL), and human-in-the-loop (HITL) feedback to build ethical, transparent, and data-driven tools for skills forecasting and mobility analysis.

Before joining King’s, Lorna taught Computer Science and digital technologies, exploring data analytics and AI systems prompt engineering, with her students.

Thesis Title

Hybrid Agentic AI for Workforce Analytics and Career Modelling

This project investigates how hybrid agentic artificial-intelligence systems can improve workforce analytics and career-path modelling in the semiconductor sector. It integrates machine learning for predictive analysis, multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) for behavioural simulation, and human-in-the-loop (HITL) feedback to ensure interpretability and ethical oversight.
