Biography
Lorna McCutcheon is an LC-MS Analyst for the Drug Control Centre located in the Department of Analytical, Environmental & Forensic Sciences, School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Sciences. Lorna joined the Drug Control Centre in December 2022 after 1.5 years of working in the Manfred Donike Institute for Doping Analytics in Cologne, Germany. She completed a BSc Chemistry degree in University College Cork. She also worked in the DCC as a guest analyst during the Commonwealth Games 2022. She currently works in the Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) team and is responsible for the preparation and analysis of urine samples for anti-doping purposes in accordance with UKAD and WADA requirements.
