Biography
Louise Frith is a Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Education and Integrated Academic Skills Coordinator across four faculties at the University. She specialises in critical thinking, reflective practice, student participation and writing for academic purposes.
Louise works closely with staff and students to embed academic skills into the curriculum. She regularly contributes to the Journal of Learning Development in Higher Education, and she has written books including Professional Writing Skills for Social Workers, The Student Guide to Peer Mentoring and Mindfulness and Wellbeing for Student Learning. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Before working at King's, Louise taught academic skills across the disciplines at the University of York and the University of Kent. She has lived and worked in Nepal and she has taught English to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.
