Biography
Lujain is a PhD student in the Department of Dental Public Health at King’s College London (KCL), based at the Denmark Hill campus. Her doctoral research is supervised by Dr. Wael Sabbah and Dr. Tim Newton.
Prior to her PhD, she completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at Riyadh Elm University in Saudi Arabia, followed by a master's in dental public health at King’s College London. She has also held a position at the Saudi Ministry of Health, gaining valuable experience in the field.
Lujain's research focuses on the determinants of healthy ageing, particularly the impact of tooth loss on the ageing process. She is dedicated to identifying key factors that contribute to healthy ageing, aiming to reduce healthcare burdens by promoting strategies to enhance the well-being of individuals aged 50 and older.
