
Maha Riaz
IP Administration & Reporting Manager
Biography
Maha is responsible for the administration of the King's intellectual property portfolio. This includes the provision of paralegal support to Salma Ishaq and Nathalie John, and the development and maintenance of related database records and reports. Her reporting work includes tracking and reporting on King's spinout companies, as well as maintaining the accuracy of IP portfolio records to support internal reporting and external funder requirements.
Maha brings experience in the commercialisation of early-stage research, reporting to funders and research contracts negotiations, gained during her previous role at the Babraham Institute in Cambridge. She also has experience in organising and setting up entrepreneurial events and networks connecting researchers with the wider innovation and start-up community. She has additional experience at City St George's, University of London, and Newcastle University, across both bioscience institute and university technology transfer settings.
Maha is a former LifeArc-AUTM Technology Transfer Fellow, which gave her exposure to technology transfer practice across the globe. She is an accredited biomedical scientist with a background in cell biology, and holds an MSc in Stem Cell & Regenerative Therapies from King's College London.
