Dr Majella Byrne MA, MSc, PhD, DClinPsy

Although I have professional services contract as part of my SLaM role, I have a visiting Senior Lecturer attached to Professor Emmanuelle Peters. I also provide teaching and am engaged in research! I am joint clinical director of the DClinPsy Programme. Along with my colleague, Dr Tim Meynen, we are responsible for the line management of the DClinPsy trainees. We are responsible for identifying and providing governance around clinical placements for our trainees. My role involves close liaison with our practice placement providers in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital Trust, and Kings College Hospital, in addition to non-NHS placement providers. I am the joint chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Sub-Committee of the DClinPsy Programme.
