Biography

Manar Bakhsh is a current PhD student at KCL in the Department of Women and Children's Health. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in Saudi Arabia and her Master's degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto, Canada. She also holds a diploma in Holistic Nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Toronto, Canada. Her research interests include paediatric and maternal nutrition, with a particular focus on feeding during infancy.

Currently, her PhD project investigates infant feeding practices in women with diabetes during pregnancy, as part of the DolFIn study (Diabetes in Pregnancy and Feeding in Infancy), which employs a mixed-methods approach. Manar's work is supervised by Dr. Sara White, Dr. Angela Flynn, and Prof. Lucilla Poston.
