Maria joined King’s College London in 2018 to undertake the MSc in Early Intervention in Psychosis. In 2024, after working as a researcher on several projects for the R&D team at Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust, she began her role as a Research Assistant and PhD student at KCL, supervised by Dr Stefania Tognin and Professor Andrea Mechelli.  Her areas of expertise include vocational rehabilitation and early intervention in psychosis. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation from the University of Ferrara (Italy).
