Biography
Maria joined KCL at the end of 2025, having completed an undergraduate degree in Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford and a MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences at UCL. Maria worked as a research assistant at UCL, in the Division of Psychiatry, where she developed a strong interest in psychosis and how treatments for psychosis can be optimised. Specifically, she conducted research investigating patient and clinician perspectives on pharmacogenetic testing for antipsychotics, a paper which was cited in the '12 Papers of Christmas' UCL Brain Sciences article.Maria is excited to continue developing as a researcher at KCL, where she is investigating patient outcomes and working within TREAT, a clinic for treatment-resistant schizophrenia.
