Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Studies, an MA in TESOL, and a Trinity College London diploma in TESOL. He is a Fellow of the HEA, an Associate Fellow of BALEAP, and a reviewer for the BALEAP Journal of Research and Practice. He is currently studying for a PhD in Education at King’s College London, focusing on academic literacy development.

Before joining King’s Foundations in 2023, Matt taught EAP at several UK universities, and he worked as an ESL teacher and IELTS examiner in Shanghai, China.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys reading, listening to music, running, swimming, travelling, cooking and spending time with his wife and son.
