Biography
Matt holds a degree in Politics, a Master’s in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and the Trinity College London Diploma in TESOL. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Associate Fellow of BALEAP (the British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes). He has written and self-published three books related to English language teaching and learning.
Before joining King’s College London, Matt spent 15 years teaching English as a Second Language in China, and later taught EAP (English for Academic Purposes) at Royal Holloway University and the University of Reading.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys swimming, listening to music, reading Japanese fiction, travelling and spending time with his wife and son.
