Biography
Matteo joined King's in 2014 with a position in the Biological Services Unit where he worked with different species of animals, with a focus on mouse work. The in vivo skills he gained over the 3 years in this role allowed him to join Professor Fiona Watt’s lab as a Research Technician. His main responsibility was the organisation and maintenance of mouse colonies belonging to the CSCRM. Shortly after, he was promoted to Research Assistant and more recently to Senior Technical Officer, contributing to the administrative and technical activities of the Centre to support the day-to-day running of the lab. Through the various duties of this job he gained a wide range of valuable experience in technical management, finally leading him to his current role.
