Biography

I am a PhD student in the Social Epidemiology research group studying ethnic disparities in dementia care and dementia outcomes. My research project uses both quantitative data from electronic health records and qualitative data from interviews to investigate the relationship between ethnicity, use of health services, and clinical outcomes such as mortality. I began my PhD at King’s in 2018. Prior to that, I received my MSc in Global Mental Health from King’s and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and my BA in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania.

Research Interests

  • Ethnic and racial disparities in healthcare
  • Dementia and ageing
  • Epidemiology of mental and neurological disorders

    Social Epidemiology Research Group

The Social Epidemiology Research Group primarily focuses on how social contexts, interactions and experiences shape the occurrence, outcome, and management of mental health problems. Our goal is to provide evidence on the relationships between all aspects of society and mental health problems that can inform the development of interventions, mental health services, public health programmes, and social policies in order to prevent the onset and improve outcomes of mental health problems.
