Talk to me
As Innovation Partnerships Manager at King’s Innovation Catalyst I support all faculties and institutes at King’s with Innovate UK and Innovation (Philanthropic Organizations & others ) funding.
About
I am an accomplished pharmacologist by training with 20+ years of significant expertise in translational research and extensive experience in preclinical development in both leading universities and industry.
I am internationally recognized and well-respected within the field of pharmacology, immunology & rare diseases, with numerous awards & honours, including appointments at the European Commission (Research & Innovation, Horizon 2020 & Horizon Europe Health), recognition for outstanding ability and two patents as inventor.
Prior to joining King’s College, I held progressively responsible positions in several pharmaceutical companies, along with many years as a research scientist at leading universities, such as Harvard Medical School & MGH Cancer Centre, Boston, USA, Imperial College, London, UK and University of California of San Diego, USA.
Recently, I served as Scientific Director at Freeline Therapeutics, a medium sized gene therapy company, where I provided scientific leadership and strategic direction on all projects across the company, bridging the gap between Research and the Clinic, as well as I acted as the interface between the company and academia both in identifying potential academic partners and in successfully leading the industry-academia partnerships.
