Biography
Myrthe Bekkers is a Research Assistant at the Freeman Air and Space Institute in the School of Security Studies, King’s College London.
She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in National Security Studies at the Department of War Studies.
Her own research centres around strategic autonomy and Dutch space capabilities in the Armed Forces, maritime autonomy, and defence recruitment.
Myrthe holds a BA International Relations and International Organization and a BA in Dutch Law from the University of Groningen, and brings experience in commercial law and policy research. She speaks English and Dutch fluently, has basic knowledge of German and French, and is currently learning Mandarin.
