Biography
Naveed graduated with Pharm.D (2012) and M.Phil (2015) in Pharmacy from University of Malakand, Pakistan. During his M.Phil studies, he performed pharmacological investigations of novel synthetic flavones in animal models for treatment of epilepsy, anxiety and depression. On another project, he investigated the anti-nociceptive, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic activities of synthetic and natural products in animal models. He then worked as a hospital pharmacist for over 2 years in a tertiary care hospital in his home country. He joined Al-Jamal’s team to develop nanoparticulate formulations for neuropeptide delivery from nose to brain. This project is a collaboration between The Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's.
