Research Fellow

Biography

Dr Niamh Errington joined King’s College London in April 2025. Prior to this, Niamh was a research associate at Imperial College London.

In 2022, Niamh completed a PhD in machine learning from the University of Sheffield under the supervision of Professor Allan Lawrie and Professor Dennis Wang, following an MSc in bioinformatics from Newcastle University.

Niamh has interdisciplinary expertise at the intersection of digital health, machine learning, and mental and cardiovascular health. Her research spans remote monitoring technologies, biomarker discovery, and predictive modelling using high-dimensional clinical and sensor data.

Niamh's focus is the Remote Assessment of Disease and Relapse in Major Depressive Disorder (RADAR-MDD) project; a large multi-site observational study using remote measurement technologies to monitor symptom trajectories in depression. Using a data-driven approach, she is aiming to see if remotely collected information from wearable devices can predict relapse or symptom worsening with a long-term goal to inform preventative interventions.
