Biography
Nigel joined the Policy Institute in October 2025 as a PhD candidate in Applied Public Policy researching the politics of the food transition to plant-rich diets. His hybrid quantitative and qualitative research will engage with UK politicians to investigate how ready they are for the protein transition currently being advocated by numerous eminent organisations.
Nigel holds an MA in Anthropology of Food from SOAS, University of London and has completed the Interdisciplinary Food Systems and Learning module run in collaboration with the University of Oxford. His BA in World Philosophies is also from SOAS.
Nigel also holds a BSc (Hons) in Land Management from University of Reading and has a professional qualification as a Member of the RICS. Nigel’s previous professional experience involved running multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large, complex projects in the UK and Scandinavia.
