Dr Nishpriha Thakur is a cultural anthropologist who works at the intersection of markets and medical anthropology. She is currently a Research Fellow on the project, ‘Middlemen in Global Health: Markets, Hospitals and Consultancies in North India’, funded by Wellcome Trust as an Early Career award for five years.

Nishpriha has worked as a research fellow on the Wellcome Trust funded project, ‘What’s at stake in the fake: Indian pharmaceuticals, African Markets and global health’ led by PIs Sarah Hodges and Julia Hornberger. Largely, her work has been in the areas of informal markets, urban development, pharmaceuticals and healthcare markets.
