
Biography
Dr Nkasi Stoll is a Qualitative Researcher. She specialises in racial disparities in health and wellbeing, culturally-affirming care, research culture, and storytelling in qualitative research. As a research consultant, she has helped numerous organisations improve their practices and policies on staff wellbeing, inclusive work practices, and work culture.
Dr Nkasi completed her PhD in Psychological Medicine Research at King's College London on the topic of Black university student mental health and wellbeing. She co-designed and evaluated a peer support intervention for Black university students, which has since fostered international collaborations in Brasil and Guyana. Dr Nkasi has received numerous funding and awards for her work tackling mental health inequality in education, including the Economic and Social Research Council, Rethink Mental Illness, Black Minds Matter, and Student Minds.
She is currently a Researcher on the Wellcome-funded project 'Black Joy as Anti-Racist Praxis: Navigating Structures of Health, Healing and Empowerment within Black British Communities'.
