Associate Director of Research Initiatives
Biography
Olivia is the Associate Director of Research Initiatives, providing high-level strategic and operational support to the Vice-President (Research & Innovation), and supporting delivery of King’s research and innovation ambitions. Working closely with the Vice President (R& I), Executive Director (RMID) and Director of Research Strategy and Performance, Olivia coordinates a portfolio of special projects and initiatives that are often high-profile and complex. Olivia is the strategic lead for the university’s Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF), ensuring King’s research innovations maximise social and economic benefit.
Olivia joined King’s in 2023 as Knowledge Exchange Manager and was responsible for leading the university’s Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF), Higher Education Business and Community Interaction Survey (HEBCIS), and HEIF returns. Previous to King’s Olivia held Public Engagement positions across the higher education and charity sectors. She holds a PhD in astrophysics and she maintains close links with the physics community through panel and board positions in organisations including the Institute of Physics and Royal Astronomical Society.
