
Biography
Dr Omar Khaled (Elsayed) joined King’s College London in 2025 as Senior Product Manager for the RADAR Base project. He is an award-winning digital transformation and artificial intelligence specialist, with over 15 years of experience leading innovation across academia, healthcare, and industry. His research and professional practice focus on the strategic application of AI, gamification, and digital technologies to generate social and organisational impact.
Before joining King’s, Omar held senior academic and leadership positions at the University of Liverpool and BOC, where he played a pivotal role in advancing digital innovation. He led the Liverpool City Region (LCR 4.0) Holistic Project, a multi-million-pound EU-funded initiative that supported more than 140 SMEs in adopting Industry 4.0 technologies, driving product innovation, digital ecosystem development, and regional competitiveness. In parallel, he founded Droovy Ltd, an Innovate UK–funded company delivering AI-powered solutions in education (EdTech) and healthcare (MedTech).
Omar holds a PhD and MBA from the University of Liverpool Management School and degrees in Software and Computer Engineering from Cairo University. His work has been recognised by Innovate UK, Times Higher Education, and the LCR Culture & Creativity Awards for advancing the use of AI and gamification across various industries.
