Dr. Paolo Giana is a Director at FTI Consulting, where he specializes in digital transformation strategies for capital projects across EMEA. With over a decade of experience, Paolo has consistently delivered value through the implementation of advanced digital PMO frameworks and governance models, helping clients de-risk project delivery and optimize both capital and operational performance particularly on high-value and giga-projects.

His core expertise lies in designing and leading digital PMO services that integrate cutting-edge technologies, collaborative procurement approaches, and data-driven decision-making into business processes. Paolo has advised global clients on organizational transformation to enable more effective capital project delivery, with a strong focus on enhancing information flow throughout the asset lifecycle and mitigating supply chain risks.

In addition, Paolo serves as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution at King's College London, contributing to thought leadership in digital governance and construction law.

Research interests

Paolo got a PhD on the application of BIM and digital technologies to collaborative procurement in order to manage and control construction processes. His interest led him to participate in multiple research projects focused on digital technologies and collaborative agreements.
