Studying at King’s gave me access to an interdisciplinary curriculum and a vibrant academic environment, the department being well-known in the field.

In many ways, my experience surpassed my expectations – the sheerbreadth of research within the department is hardly comparable and was made accessible to students through not only teaching but discussion groups, events and conferences.

My BA has opened up so many worlds to me that were previously completely unknown, and, with time, enabled me to design my own research questions and focus on topics that interested me in assignments. This experience made me grow academically as well as personally, challenging me to critically question all that I discovered (an attitude very encouraged by my tutors), and left me hungry for more.

I am now undertaking an MPhil in Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge, further exploring the themes I was introduced to in War Studies.
