He has active research programs in many areas of type 1 diabetes with a particular focus on hypoglycaemia and the use of technology in diabetes. He has a strong experimental medicine research portfolio around the use of neuroimaging to understand central mechanisms of hypoglycaemia unawareness. In addition to this, he has ongoing research in many other aspects of type 1 diabetes, including education (DAFNEplus) and psychology (HARPdoc). Pratik has an interest in clinical studies of new technology in diabetes, including novel continuous glucose sensors and closed loop systems.
