IP & Innovation Executive

  • King's Innovation Catalyst

Biography

I am an IP and Innovation Executive at King’s Innovation Catalyst, where I support researchers across the SHAPE faculties — Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts for People and the Economy. I’m passionate about helping academics unlock the potential of their ideas, guiding them through the processes of protecting and translating their work to create real-world impact. I’m particularly interested in making innovation more accessible and inclusive, especially in underrepresented research areas.

Alongside this, I support IP and licensing managers working on the university’s MedTech project portfolio, helping to move innovations forward in areas where healthcare and technology intersect.

Before joining King’s, I worked at St. George’s, University of London and its NHS Foundation Trust, where I supported healthcare researchers in developing and translating innovative solutions to clinical challenges. This blend of experience across life sciences and SHAPE disciplines gives me a broad and flexible approach to supporting research and innovation.

I’m a former LifeArc AUTM Fellow, which gave me the opportunity to connect with technology transfer professionals across Europe and the U.S., broadening my perspective on global innovation ecosystems. My academic background is in Chemistry, with a Master’s degree from the University of York where I focused on green chemistry — exploring the potential of carbon-silica composites for treating polluted wastewater. I later deepened my expertise in intellectual property through a Postgraduate Certificate at Brunel University, and completed initial training in patent and wider IP matters.
