Programme Manager, King's Climate & Sustainability

Rachel believes that collaboration is critical to solving global challenges and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This commitment has taken her to over 40 countries around the world working with not for profit and public sector organisations focusing on education, culture and development.

An experienced programme management professional, Rachel has a track record of leading complex multi-country portfolios. She moves to King’s from Breaking Barriers, an employment advice charity for refugees, where she was Director of Programmes. Prior to this, much of Rachel’s career was spent at the British Council in a range of Country Director, policy and programme lead roles. Most recently she worked with the government of Uzbekistan to establish transformative education reform strategies that give growing youth populations the skills they need. It was here that she decided to refocus her career on sustainability in education. Rachel has a master’s in international development and education.
