Rachel Potterton
NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre PhD student
Biography
I joined KCL in September 2014 to complete an MSc in Mental Health Studies, having gained my undergraduate degree (BA Psychology & English Literature) at Trinity College Dublin.
I have been part of the Eating Disorders Research Group since 2016, first working as a research assistant on a randomised controlled trial of an online intervention to improve university students’ mental health. I am currently a PhD student, exploring developmentally-informed care for emerging adults with eating disorders (supervised by Prof Ulrike Schmidt, Dr. Karina Allen, and Dr. Vanessa Lawrence). I am also an honorary assistant psychologist in the SLaM eating disorder outpatient service.
