Dr Sally Rohan

Dr Sally Rohan is a Visiting Research Fellow, having previously been Senior Lecturer in the Defence Studies Department.  She has taught at the University of Warwick and at the University of Wolverhampton. With a first degree in Politics and IR from the University of Warwick, her Masters Degree in Modern Historical and Political Studies was awarded by the University of Coventry and her Doctorate on the Western European Union from Wolverhampton University.

She has served on the Executive Board of the Universities Advisory Committee of the Atlantic Council and has been a member of their Editorial Board. She has had close links with teaching and cultural establishments in Central and Eastern Europe and was elected as a full life Academician of the Central European Academy of Science and Art in 1998. She has served as the UK member of the EU’s European Security and Defence College Academic Faculty. 

A member of the Defence Studies Department since 1998, her roles have included Deputy Dean for Academic Studies, Head of Quality Assurance (Assessment), Departmental lead on War Gaming, Academic Director of Junior and Intermediate Air and Land Courses, and Academic Director of the joint and multi-service/agency Advanced Command and Staff Courses. She is Deputy Director of the King's Centre for Military Ethics and is currently serving as Deputy Dean of the Defence Studies Department with responsibility for Departmental Planning and Resources.
