Biography

Rosa Nieves Roe Garcia is Climate and Sustainability Officer for King’s Climate & Sustainability.

She graduated from King’s in 2021 with a Philosophy BA, focusing on applied ethics and politics. Rosa's journey with the team began during the creation of the King’s Sustainability & Climate online module in 2021, and she has been an integral part of the team ever since. In addition, she has volunteered with various environmental and social organisations, contributing to their efforts for a sustainable and just transition.

As Sustainability Champions Network lead, Rosa guides a group of enthusiastic staff volunteers dedicated to infusing sustainable practices into our labs and offices. She organises engagement events and campaigns that reach every corner of the institution, seamlessly integrating climate action into all aspects of our work. By motivating and empowering others, she paves the way for impactful actions and meaningful behaviour changes that extend the influence of King’s and beyond.

Rosa is a passionate advocate for both social and climate justice. Her goal is to raise awareness and enable others to take action. She firmly believes in the strength of collective action and community organizing to bring about meaningful change.
