Biography
Sabrina is a Research Associate at King’s College London, working on the EMBRACE programme in the Department of Population Health Sciences. Her research focuses on designing and evaluating physical activity interventions for pregnant women to reduce the risk of gestational diabetes, hypertension, and perinatal depression through interdisciplinary collaboration.
Sabrina began her professional career as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2017, she completed a Clinical Fellowship and earned a Diploma in Maternal and Foetal Medicine at Hospital Universitario Austral, where she subsequently held a consultant position from 2017 to 2022. Concurrently, she served as a Maternal Foetal Medicine Consultant at the Estela de Carlotto Public Maternity Hospital, gaining extensive experience in prenatal diagnostics and the management of high-risk pregnancies. In 2021, she obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Research from Instituto Universitario Hospital Italiano.
She has completed a PhD in Human Nutrition at Ulster University, where she focused on evaluating the impact of obesity on iron metabolism during pregnancy, in the offspring, and in the postpartum period. Sabrina is committed to inclusive, collaborative research that draws on her clinical background to inform maternal health interventions. She works closely with other healthcare professionals, academics, and community partners to enhance the relevance of her work. Passionate about teaching and mentorship, she supports students in developing research skills, particularly in maternal health, clinical research, and digital health.
