
Biography
Dr Sachin Dubey is a Research Fellow (Principal Analyst) at King’s Forensics, King’s College London, where he leads advanced analytical work within the Drug Control Centre (DCC). He holds a PhD in analytical chemistry and has extensive postdoctoral experience in the analysis of biological samples for anti-doping applications.
His expertise lies in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS)- based methodologies for the detection of prohibited substances in sport, with a particular focus on developing highly sensitive and robust analytical approaches to meet evolving international testing requirements.
At the DCC, Dr Dubey provides technical leadership for LC-MS operations and plays a central role in expanding the laboratory’s analytical capabilities. As a Certifying Scientist under the International Standard for Laboratories of the World Anti-Doping Agency, he is responsible for the evaluation and reporting of analytical findings in accordance with WADA anti-doping regulations. His work includes the development and validation of new analytical methods for emerging doping agents and complex biological matrices, ensuring that the laboratory remains at the forefront of anti-doping science.
Dr Dubey is actively engaged in research aimed at improving detection strategies for prohibited substances and metabolic investigations. In addition to his research and operational responsibilities, he contributes to supervising and mentoring MSc and placement students within King’s Forensics.
