Sagar was invited to join the department in 2019 to undertake a Ph.D. researching erosive and abrasive toothwear on natural human enamel. His Supervisors Prof. David Bartlett and Dr Saoirse O’Toole will be supporting him over the course of his fully funded LIDo iCase PhD as well as having support from Unilever as his industrial partner.

Sagar is a fully qualified dentist, graduating from The University of Glasgow in 2017 and moving to London in 2018 to commence his NHS foundation training. During this time Sagar was able to submit cases to a variety of dental societies and was awarded a prize for his cosmetic dental work.
