With a background in Psychology and Human Development, Sára has experience in child-focused research and neuroimaging methodologies. During her time at the Czech Academy of Sciences, she focused on the management and enactment of experiments, as well as the preprocessing of experimental data.

Sára joined the Cicely Saunders Institute in February 2026, with funding from the Vlček Family Foundation, to contribute to the growing body of research on paediatric palliative care in Czechia, with a particular focus on meaning-making and communication. Her PhD integrates a participatory research approach with a mixed-methods design, combining qualitative exploration of existential experience with quantitative mapping of contributing factors.
