Saule is a final year PhD student at UoE investigating the molecular mechanisms driving ARDS pathophysiology. Her research focuses on the cGAS-STING pathway and its role in epithelial and immune cell compartments of the lung. She has worked with various in vitro models, including epithelial cell lines and lung-derived organoids, and has recently begun exploring spatial features of ARDS lung tissue.
