Biography

Professor Sebastien Ourselin FREng FMedSci is the Assistant Principal (Innovation) and Head of the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King's College London.

He is the Director of the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering and the Digital Health and Data Science theme for King’s Health Partners.

Alongside Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, he leads the MedTech Hub, located at St Thomas’ campus. The Hub creates a unique ecosystem, enabling academia, industry and the NHS to work in synergy developing digital health technologies and medical devices of global significance.

Professor Ourselin has over 25 years of experience within academia and research organisations (across three countries) and has significant experience in translating and commercialising healthcare technology and in MedTech entrepreneurship.
