Shahida has been working in the academic sector since 2016.

She joined KCL’s Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery in January 2022. Moving to the War Studies department as the PGT Senior Programme Officer in November 2022. Shahida is currently on secondment as a Programme Manager in the Defence Studies Department.
