Biography

Shehrazade Zafar-Arif grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. She moved to the UK to study English Literature at University College London, where she quickly discovered her niche in early modern drama, specifically Shakespeare. Her MA in Shakespeare Studies at King’s came with the opportunity to work and learn on the Globe stage. It also gave her the chance to participate in, and write about, the events of Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary. A theatre lover and aspiring writer, Shehrazade is particularly interested in the way the arts interact with and respond to social issues.
