Biography

Project Title:  Virtual Learning Environments in Indonesian Higher Education: An Investigation into Self-Regulated Learning Strategies, Digital Skills, and Mental Health of Neurotypical and Neurodivergent Students 

Shofia Mawaddah is a lecturer in educational psychology at Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia. Prior to pursuing this career, she worked as an E-learning Specialist for a global company that focuses on worker education and psychological well-being, particularly in the Southeast Asian region. She earned a S.Psi. (B.Sc.) in Psychology from Universitas Sumatera Utara in Indonesia before pursuing an MSc in Psychology of Education at the Institute of Education, University College London.

Her research focuses on educational settings that promote online learning as well as cognitive, social, and emotional development. She researches self-regulated learning, emotion regulation, mental health, teaching and learning and other psychological traits that are related.
