Sonja Tack

Sonja has been teaching English to international students since 2000, and English for Academic Purposes since 2006. She completed the DELTA and MA in ELT and Applied Linguistics at King’s College London. She also has a second MA in Translation Studies from University of Portsmouth and a postgraduate qualification in educational technology from The Open University. In her current role at King’s, she is overseeing the personal tutoring system for King's Foundations.

Sonja managed the Pre-Sessional English programme for City, University of London for seven summers. Prior to that, she taught on in-sessional programmes at University of East London, pre-sessional programmes at Imperial College Business School, and on freshman-level EAP courses in Turkish universities. She has long experience of examining for the suite of Cambridge exams as well as for the International Baccalaureate.

Sonja is particularly interested in teacher training and mentoring, teaching academic writing and materials development.
