
Biography
Project Title: Understanding psychosocial factors associated with distress in women survivors of breast cancer and assessing the efficacy of a mobile app-based intervention
Sophie is an NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre funded PhD student in the health psychology section, currently researching distress and symptoms in women with breast cancer.
Sophie completed an MSc in Health Psychology at King’s, investigating cognitive process which predict fear of recurrence and resilience in breast cancer survivors and continues to work with the department.
Sophie has a particular interest in exploring acceptance in cancer and ACT interventions to ultimately improve quality of life and wellbeing after cancer.
