Biography

Sora is a Coordinator on the King's International Foundation programme at King's Foundations, which is part of the Centre for International Education and Languages at King's College London. He is also the Chair of the Assessment Sub-Board for the Afe Babalola Centre for Transnational Education.

Sora was born in Hiroshima, went to school in London and undertook degrees at Cambridge (MA English 2001), UCL (MA English 2003) and Birkbeck (MA History of Art 2005). He also holds the Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (2007), the Certificate in FE Teaching (2008) and the Certificate for ESOL Subject Specialists (2008). He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Outside King’s, Sora writes tests and test-preparation books for Cambridge Assessment English and Cambridge University Press. His academic interests also lie in the field of language assessment.
