Biography

Stephen Hunsaker is a Research Associate in the Evidence, Development and Incubation Team (EDIT). He specialises in quantitative analysis, supporting the design, delivery, and evaluation of policies and programmes across a wide range of sectors.

Before joining EDIT, Stephen was a trade and economics researcher at the Policy Institute’s UK in a Changing Europe think tank. His work focused on the UK’s evolving relationship with the EU and global partners post-Brexit, with publications covering topics such as public investment, trade, net zero, taxation, and inflation.
Earlier in his career, Stephen worked as a project manager and evaluator for a foundation in Malawi, where he led the design and implementation of Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) for agricultural training and secondary school scholarship programmes.

He holds an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics.
