Biography

I am a Biochemist with a research interest in the genetics and cell biology of bone marrow failure disorders - in particular dyskeratosis congenita My first degree is from Oxford and my PhD from Birmingham university. I carried out postdoctoral research at the Queen Elisabeth Hospital in Birmingham and the Hammersmith Hospital in London. I started at King's in 2000 and was responsible for running the Biochemistry undergraduate programme. In 2016 I become the Head of Stage 1 of the MBBS programme and this is now the main focus of my teaching and administration activities.
