Swee Leng Harris is Head of Policy and Public Affairs at the Legal Education Foundation. She leads a portfolio of policy grants focusing on the technical legal capacity of civil society to engage with the legislative process relating to the UK’s exit from the EU. She is also is developing the Foundation's activity on data processing by government, public law, and rule of law principles, and is a member of Privacy and Consumer Advisory Group for the UK Government.
Swee Leng previously worked at the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law where she led the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on the Rule of Law. Before moving to London, Swee Leng was an environment and planning lawyer at Allens (now Allens Linklaters) in Australia. She holds a Master of Laws from New York University, and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne. Swee Leng sits on the Board of Directors of CORE, the UK civil society coalition on corporate accountability.
