Biography

Tianxi Wang is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Finance at King’s Business School. He earned his PhD and MSc in Finance from the University of Edinburgh and holds a BA in Economics from Xiamen University. He is also affiliated with the Centre for Business, Climate Change, and Sustainability (B-CCaS) at the University of Edinburgh.

Tianxi’s research primarily focuses on empirical corporate finance, with particular emphasis on the intersections of managerial characteristics, climate change, and corporate innovation. He also maintains an active interest in related areas, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial markets, and corporate employment. His work has been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance. His research has been presented at, or accepted by, several leading finance and economics conferences, such as the American Economic Association (AEA) Annual Meeting, Financial Management Association (FMA) Europe, FMA Annual Meeting, FMA Asia-Pacific Conference, Asia Finance Association Annual Meeting, European Financial Management Association (EFMA) Conference, and Financial Management & Accounting Research Conference (FMARC).
