Verena joined King’s College London in 2018 as a German teacher. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as short courses. Verena follows a communicative approach to language learning. Together with her colleague Angelique Arts she designed an Escape Room as a fun way to practise the language.

She firmly believes that learning should be enjoyable and that learning another language is a great way to better understand one’s own language and culture better.

Verena graduated from Munich’s Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität with an M.A. in Latin literature in 2010. She completed a Graduate Teaching Programme in the UK and holds an Adult Education certificate from City & Guilds.
