Biography

Veronica Gargallo Llamas is a Lecturer and Researcher in the School of Education, Communication & Society at King's.

Her research examines how LGBTIQ practitioners navigate visibility, precarity and belonging within the cultural and creative industries, with a particular focus on queer fashion, labour and the contested meanings of queerness in professional creative life. 

Veronica completed a PhD in Queer Fashion at King's in 2024, funded by the London Arts & Humanities Partnership (LAHP). Her work has been published in Sexualities (2025) and Fashion, Style & Popular Culture (2023), and she has a monograph proposal in development with Bloomsbury Academic. 

She is actively participating in Queer@King's.
