Biography

Victoria Butterworth is a Senior Clinical Scientist and Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence in Head and Neck Cancer Radiotherapy at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London. Her research focuses on developing and validating AI models to support personalised treatment in head and neck cancer, including auto-segmentation and predictive modelling using imaging, radiotherapy, and clinical data. She contributes to the development of a large, multimodal dataset of almost 3000 patients to enable translational AI research.

Victoria studied Physics at the University of Exeter and the University of Auckland before training as a Clinical Scientist in Radiotherapy Physics at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. She also holds an MSc in Clinical Sciences from King’s College London and was recently awarded a pre-doctoral fellowship in recurrence modelling with the Centre for Translational Medicine.
